River Valley Horse Ranch is in the heart of Carver, Minnesota with the beautiful Minnesota River right next door.

It’s gorgeous in the Southern Minneapolis Metro Area for a good part of the year. With the exception of spring flooding that occasionally happens but hey … the ranch is right next to a river … you gotta expect water.

You’ll love our stable of horses and the horse trails are magnificient!  You’ll really enjoy the ride!

If you live in the Twin Cities (or surrounding areas) you probably think that we’re all floating around on inner tubes down in the Minnesota River Valley. While it’s true that there is flooding going on in some of the communities that border the Minnesota River Valley … River Valley Horse Ranch is above water and open for trail rides!

River Valley Horse Ranch is located in the Minnesota River Valley between the cities of Carver, Minnesota and Jordan, Minnesota.

The cities of Carver and Jordan feature unique small town flavor and very historical downtown’s.  Just a short drive (25 minutes) from the Minneapolis – St. Paul metro area makes the Minnesota River Valley a wonderful day, or weekend getaway, that you won’t want to miss!  Fun for the whole family!

Springing Ahead

Winter brought tons of snow and cold to the Minnesota River Valley, but that didn’t stop us from sharing our amazing horse trails with many hardy Minnesota horseback riders!

Now that the snow is melting, we have extended our trail ride hours to Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm.

Wild Horses

Over 100 years ago, there were an estimated 2 million mustangs roaming the range. The word mustang comes from the Spanish word mustengo, which means “owner-less beast.” The American mustangs originally came from the Spanish stock of horses brought to America in the beginning of the 16th century.

According to a couple of sources, less than 17,000 mustangs roam the ranges today.  During our surfing we came across one woman’s quest to protect these noble beasts.
